FGI is an Australian owned and operated civil construction, bulk earthworks and agriculture company developed to the regional demands of civil, mining and agricultural developers in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

FGI Developments is able to offer our clients a complete package of skills and resources to deliver projects in civil construction, bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage projects, concrete infrastructure and water infrastructure.

Following 29 years of experience on large civil and mining projects in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, the founder of FGI identified the opportunity to create a diversified business platform that would guarantee the timely, cost effective and safe delivery of civil construction, mining and agricultural projects throughout its operating areas.

FGI has the staff, systems and capabilities to ensure our clients’ needs are facilitated. Our people and subcontractors are all qualified, competent and trained to work in team environments safely and efficiently. FGI holds current DCAC’s and clearances for defence base civil works, along with an unrestricted building licence for residential and commercial structures. This allows FGI to be proactive in managing major projects while maintaining the flexibility to respond to our client’s needs.

We actively include Aboriginal representation and have a close relationship with local communities taking part in ‘Welcome to Country’ and implementing training programs creating skilled professionals within our company. We aim to comprise a minimum of 10% of our total workforce with local Indigenous representation.

A safe workplace is critical for business performance. Health and safety affects everyone and FGI is committed from all levels within the company, integrating safety into strategic and operational activities, generating a safety culture and driving our performance. We value and protect the health and safety of all persons in the workplace including our clients, employees, contractors and other visitors.

FGI employees, contractors and visitors have a duty of care including; the responsibility to work safely, to take all reasonable care for their own health and safety, and to consider the health and safety of other people who may be affected by their actions. All staff, subcontractors and visitors are inducted onto site, we have effective site-specific work practices in place with hazard management systems, emergency procedures and accident reporting.
FGI guarantees daily pre-start and weekly toolbox meetings are held with employee participation, safety inspections are completed weekly and monthly site audits are conducted.
